NIS Delivered Medical and Law Enforcement Emergency Interpreting Service

Interpreters Customers

Without great interpreters, we would not have attained our success and positive reputation. Their hard work and dedication to customer service make everything possible. They are terrific!

Freelance Interpreters
If you are a freelance interpreter with certification, talent, ethics, and people skills, we would like to do business with you. Please consider registering with us. We no longer do business exclusively in San Diego. We receive calls from all over the United States and would like to pass that work on to you!

Gridcheck
NIS wants to make working with our agency as easy as possible. You may qualify to use a support tool we have created for you and your customers. By logging into and using our web based program (www.gridcheck.com) you will be able to enhance your freelance business. Gridcheck keeps track of your information and does some of your work for you. By using the system, you can update your availability and provide that information to your customers. Additionally, you can download your schedule to your PDA, view job details online, submit your invoices via the Internet and keep your contact information current . . . all with just a few clicks.

Staff Interpreters
Even though we work with far more freelance interpreters we do employ several wonderful staff. Please fill out our staff application form if you would like to be considered for a future and current job openings.

Internship Program
The NIS Internship Program is a 2 phase 50 hour program that offers real world work experience to the novice pre-certified interpreter. Priority consideration is given to applicants who are students enrolled in an Interpreter Training Program fieldwork or practicum class. If you consider yourself a candidate for such a program, please inquire.

Mentorship Program
The NIS Interpreting Mentorship Program is an opportunity for pre-certified interpreters to enter the workforce with support from an experienced mentor. Participants in this program are given full work schedules in settings that meet their experience and skill sets. Find out more here.
